For the first time, Germany's largest companies have achieved over 25% female leadership, with the share of women in top executive roles rising from 13.3% in 2020 to 25.4% today. This increase is attributed to a mandatory quota law passed in 2020, aimed at improving gender equality in corporate leadership. Germany now has four female CEOs among DAX-listed companies: Bettina Orlopp at Commerzbank, Karin Rådström at Daimler Truck, Belén Garijo at Merck, Helen Giza at Fresenius Medical Care.
